Hallmarking is a UK legal requirement when selling jewellery made using precious metals of a certain weight. For silver, this applies to items which weigh 7.78 grams or above.

My products requiring hallmarking are assessed at the Edinburgh Assay Office. Following approval, they are inscribed with a series of marks including my personal hallmark and applied either by traditional punch or by laser for more delicate items. This give the guarantee that products have been independently tested for quality. The product can be traced to the manufacturer and the office in which it was assayed.
